We are Hudson House, an interior design studio in Huntington Beach, CA. We primarily serve Orange County, San Diego County and LA county, but if you are outside those areas, please reach out anyway! There’s a lot we can do with minimal site visits.
It is our true joy, our actual calling, to create beautiful, functional spaces that enhance our clients' quality of life. We believe that everyone deserves to live in a home that inspires them, relaxes them, and reflects their unique personality.
Spending time in partially furnished spaces, cluttered spaces, or spaces without some sense of cohesion can create a feeling of unease. It's been scientifically proven! About
I was born and raised in Southern California. I've been an interior designer since I was 7 years old, the only kid I knew who perused the Sears catalog (if you know, you know) not for the toys, but for the perfect pink ruffled curtains for my bedroom. Fast forward through a successful career in the healthcare industry which, while incredibly rewarding, was a far cry from the creativity of the design world. My love for design, my passion to create beautiful environments never left me, and one day it just would no longer be ignored, nor remain as a hobby. I went back to school and studied at the Interior Design Institute (IDI) in Newport Beach, CA to earn my certification. I attended workshops and industry conferences, found mentors, and let the Universe take it from there. Many furnishing projects, remodels, refreshes and re-imaginings later, here we are. Hudson House Interiors. At your service for all things design. I can’t wait to work with you.

The Design Process
Step by Step

Step One
Consultation. Always free. We meet and chat, in person or via video call. We want to learn about you, your home, your hopes and dreams, your budget. All of it. We ask you lots of questions (Do you have inspiration photos? Do you have special items you’d like to incorporate into the design? What’s your timeline? What’s your budget? Stuff like that.) We answer all of your questions about the process and the pricing, and together we begin to formulate a plan for your space.

Step Two
Concept. You’ve agreed to work with us and paid us a design fee. We take (or you provide us) measurements of the space and we prepare a presentation for you with a high level overview of the design plan. This includes your floorplan or elevation plan (showing where every item we’re choosing for you will go), a visual montage showing actual pieces we’ve chosen for you and how they all work together, and a cost breakdown by category. We edit/adjust as needed.

Step Three
Creation. You have approved the design plan we prepared for you. Hudson House shops for the pieces you’ve approved and we curate accessories, lighting, art and all the stylish things to bring the look together. We get the items ordered. Once everything is delivered to your home, we style it. If your project is a remodel and not a furnishing plan, we will curate choices for you in tile, countertops, flooring, wallcoverings, window treatments, etc., and we will work with your GC to execute the plan.
